07/10/2014 - Report on Submissions to the LECP available

An integrated report on submissions received for Donegal’s Local Economic and Community Plan is now available.

This plan, which is being developed under the auspices of the recently formed Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), will provide a 6 year framework on the strategic direction of future activity and relevant funding streams at a national, regional, cross border and European level.

The scope of the plan includes but is not limited to the following agreed priority goals:

• Developing  Donegal as a lead region for the Green Economy
• Promoting Enterprise & Skills Development in the region
• Developing a Donegal Brand across all sectors
• Ensuring Best Access to Services for the community of Donegal
• Developing the region’s Natural Resources & Tourism
• Fully developing the county’s Cultural Resources/ Creative Economy
• Promoting and supporting Community Development in Donegal.

In preparing this plan, submissions were invited from individuals, businesses and community groups in the county and an integrated report on submissions received for the Local Economic and Community Plan for County Donegal is now available.  An Appendix to the report setting out details of the various submissions received is also available.
